Suleman Nagdi hopes to become Leicester’s first PCC that replaced Police Authorities (PA), which set police budgets, appointed senior officers and scrutinised force performance.
So far, three people have been confirmed as candidates in Leicestershire and Rutland. Leicester community worker and businessman Suleman Nagdi has also told the Leicester Mercury he intends to stand as an independent. The Conservatives have chosen recently retired Air Chief Marshall Sir Clive Loader, a parish councillor in Wing, Rutland, while the Labour Party has selected Leicester’s assistant mayor Sarah Russell.
Suleman Nagdi MBE DL is a candidate for the Police and Crime Commissioner for the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland area. Today ‘Garavi Gujarat’ publication has recognised this and have published it in their paper.
