I have lived in Leicestershire for most of my adult life. I have gained significant experience from my life experiences, having owned and managed my own business; having undertaken various roles with the Police force and other organisations; having served in the Rhodesian Army and having served as a Magistrate on the Leicester bench.
I have been a committed volunteer and an advocate in the community for over 25 years. I have worked on many diverse issues at national and international level. My bid to become Police and Crime Commissioner for Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, is a natural progression of my work within the criminal justice system as a community advocate, a service which I have dedicated myself to an outstanding degree of excellence for the past 15 years.
I believe that I am a pioneer and have the ability to galvanise individuals and communities. My ability to bond diverse communities here and abroad has received support and recognition. I am able to balance persistence and patience to achieve outcomes and win hearts and minds.
